Security
More vacation days, higher compensation for parental leave and unemployment are items regulated in collective agreements. You can also receive legal aid at no extra cost. If you were to hire a private attorney, one hour would cost as much as your annual fees for SULF. We negotiate your salary all the way from doctoral studies to retirement. We safeguard your security and academic freedom.
Influence
Bolster your professional identity and ensure influence over your employment conditions. Through your local SULF organization, you can influence the position the union takes in cases of reorganization, for instance. And we will be there for you if you should be treated badly. By joining SULF, you add to the clout of doctoral students, researchers, and university teachers by making the organization stronger.

Dual membership if you are already a member of another Saco association
SULF is the association that knows higher education. SULF therefore has dual membership agreements with other Saco associations. You can belong to both at little or no extra cost. In some cases it's even less expensive. Se further our dual membership fees for fullpaying and doctoral candidates. Please contact us for more information about dual membership fees.
SULF is the only association with a fulltime focus on higher education. Higher education is our field. Besides labor law, we also address the professional identity of teachers and researchers. One of our most important issues is academic freedom.
